We are so excited to welcome all of you to our new weekly “Fashion Friday” blog series, where we talk all things style, jewelry and specifically how you can incorporate bk&leo jewelry into your own wardrobe. The beauty of jewelry is that it can not only change an outfit, but the jewelry too can change with the outfit.
Which brings us to our topic tonight… The multi-functional Udou earrings in all their spikey sophistication. Things we love about summer: straight-from work happy hours (usually to those outdoor locations we never see during the winter), barbeques with old and new friends and all those summer weddings and formal occasions you’re excited to get dressed up for. It’s definitely nice to have a piece of jewelry that can tie together any look, for all different types of events.
The beauty of the Udou earrings is that they have exactly that appeal. When worn with a formal gown and hair up to fully expose them, the shape mimics the moon and stars under which you are dancing (or cocktailing…yes, it’s a verb). Why not throw on that sexy black dress, some tall strappy heels and a bright pop of lipstick before topping it off with the Udou earrings and maybe a simple bracelet or ring (but not both!) Simple, sexy sophistication for formal events allows you (and your earrings!) to shine.
Happy hours: Super fun, but trying to get out of work early to get the party started might mean not having time to change out of your work clothes. That’s where jewelry comes in! We suggest boldly accessorizing, especially on the jewelry front, to liven up a work dress/suit. Try rocking Udou earrings with a simple, short sleeved white dress and nude heels (and Instagram a pic at us using the #bkandleo hashtag!)
Barbeques: We love a good BBQ come summer, early fall and late spring. We take our BBQs seriously, but tend to go for the comfier attire (think, jeans and a t-shirt). It doesn’t take too much effort to kick that outfit up a notch, however…. add a little sparkle, ponytail, sunglasses and maybe that lipstick you last wore to that formal event, and you’ve got yourself a sophisticated little BBQ outfit!
Whoever said earrings can’t do it all? Certainly not us.
