CHRISTINA & JOSH
Christina was the sweetest bride and impressed us so much throughout her entire wedding planning process with her organization and attention to details. We are so blown away by all the small touches included throughout Christina and Josh’s wedding and how they honored their own relationship, families and heritage.
Christina couldn’t have been more fun to work with to design her wedding day jewelry. She showed us some photos of her gorgeous Claire Pettibone dress, and we poked around Pinterest for ideas for a piece of jewelry that she could wear to her wedding but also every day. Christina introduced us to the seven-day ring concept, which is a traditional Portuguese ring design that signifies “I’ll love you seven days of the week.” She picked this type of ring as a nod to her Portuguese heritage and the couple’s love for travel. We created the ring in rose gold to keep with her engagement and wedding rings, and included sapphires in the connector piece, so it could be her “something blue.” We also made a double layered drop necklace for the bride to gift her sister/MOH!
Christina and Josh looked incredible on their wedding day at The Vineyard at Florence in Austin, TX, and were beautifully photographed by Desiree Rose at Elkk Photography.
When asked about her favorite part of the wedding, Christina responded: “it was seeing just how happy our families were. I have never seen smiles as wide or dance moves as fierce as I did on our wedding day. There’s a word that only exists in Portuguese, ‘saudade,’ that means a deep longing or nostalgia and nearly six months later I already feel that way about our wedding day and the memories of just how genuinely happy and carefree everyone was.”
