Part One: One pair of earrings, two gorgeous weddings!

Some say the dress makes the wedding. I say the jewelry makes the dress!

When it came time to shop for my own wedding dress, I set out looking for something very simple. My mother lent me her breathtaking, floral-embroidered cathedral-length veil, which was a total showstopper. I was also very excited to create beautiful earrings, and I wanted them to stand out! However, my dress ended up being anything but simple: I knew the Amsale “Nicole” dress was my dress right away. I loved all of the details and the dramatic back, and it fit me perfectly.

Once I said yes to the dress, I set out to design and create the earrings! With all the beautiful detail in the dress and veil, I decided against large chandeliers and I stayed away from flowers since my dress, veil and the venue (the lovely Chicago Botanic Garden) featured plenty of those!

I designed a three-part drop design featuring white gold, diamonds and 2-carat cubic zirconias in the bottom section, and incorporated the infinity symbol as an homage to one of bk&leo’s bestselling pieces, the Andare Infinity Ring. I am so thrilled with how they came out!

Please enjoy some scenes from our wedding day, and stay tuned for another look at the bk&leo bridal infinity earring design, set against the stunning backdrop in Punta de Mita, Mexico!
